There are so many interpretations regarding observing holy communion instituted by Jesus Christ while He was on the face of the world. According to this preacher no one is allowed to observe holy communion at home. He also says the “bread “has to be one. If it is observed in different houses it would be more than one. So it is not biblical. What a strange evaluation and interpretation it is. He is enforcing that gathering must be in the church where all believers must assemble together and must use “one bread “alone is biblical. First of all observing holy communion is a very sacred ordinance that believers must do it to remember ‘the pain and suffering ‘of our Lord Jesus for our redemption. Second thing every time when we observe it we clearly declaring and pouring our hearts before the Lord. By doing this we also vividly says to Jesus by your grace and grace alone “I am still at your feet and I will do this until you come back and get me in your place which you are preparing for me. “When we study Bible it is not the substance of the bread or the wine that is used for this obervence makes the difference rather it should be ‘our clear conscience and heart ‘which must be aligned with the holy presence of Living Lord Jesus Christ. Catholic Church interpret holy communion in a different way. After the priest praying for the substance which is the “bread “and the “wine “it turns into “body “and “blood “of Jesus is called transubtantiation. I’m sorry there is nothing happen after the prayer. Everything is symbolic and it should be like that. Bread remains bread and wine remains wine. But our love , affection and and sincere commitment must be revealed by observing holy communion “any where we are. “Sorry again there is no “sacred building or church “is needed to worship our God. We have strong documented evidence that people worshiped Jesus in the catacombs and hidden rooms for a long period of time.If we have building to worship that is perfectly fine. But if the circumstances are against having a gathering in a common building still we can worship the Lord within the guidelines of the holy Bible. God is always looking at the heart not the material things. The best example is the salvation of the thief who was crucified with Christ. He did not follow any of the teachings of Jesus including water baptism, holy communion and fellowship with believers or anything like that. He would have observed all these if he had a chance. But in that special occasion Jesus told him that “you will be with me in the paradise. “Of course there are guidelines in the Bible but the most important thing is our relationship with the Lord is matters. Let us not get derailed by wrong interpretation. Jesus is coming soon.
