True Love

Even though the autumn is not well expressed in this part of the Earth, definitely the hot summers have abated and the arrival of winters is felt in the air. After my morning hubbub, somehow managed to catch the office cab on time. On my way, as I always did, glanced through the daily news. Suddenly one of the headline caught my eyes: “Murder in name of love: Spurned youth sets girl on fire, dies along with her.” Not again!!! These type of incidences are becoming more common. From the initial gasp of disbelief people have moved into such a state that they started admitting, “Yeah…it happens.” I couldn’t read the news further. Closing my eyes, I just laid back on my seat. I couldn’t calm my mind. I started contemplating.
I love you !!!!! – The most misunderstood statement among the mankind.
What is love?
Love is not something I take or I have ; it is all about I give.
Possessiveness is not love , it is selfishness. It is not necessary that the other person should revert the love you have for them.
From my perspective, Love is sacrifice, it is all about giving.
The Bible says. God gave his only Son for the mankind; the Son, Jesus, sacrificed his life to save the mankind, even though we were not worthy of it. Summing up, we can say that love is giving and forgiving.
How can we identity true love?
In the epistle of 1 Corinthians chapter 13, St. Paul says,
If you have love you cannot envy, be proud, brag, rejoice in unrighteousness, behave inappropriately, seek own way, or be provoked. You cannot be self-serving or get easily angered or resentful.
Love is patient, kind and unconditional.
Our flesh cannot manifest this true love. If God dwells in us we can love each other.
How can God dwell in us?
If we keep His Words, then God, the Father, will love us , and trinity will come to us , and dwell in us.
Because God is love.
If only everyone understood this…I wish; then there would not be any killing in the name of love or religion. The whole focus will be on Him, the Ultimate Saviour.
